Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Richmond, VA, requiring at least 2 years of labor experience and active VA or compact RN licensure.Job Details• Work in a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit (L&D) located on the 3rd floor of the Atrium building,• Unit staffed by labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, secretaries, leadership, and educators on day shift,• Patient ratios: 1:1 for labor (most of the time), 5-6:1 for postpartum, and 5-6:1 for nursery,• Procedures include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum care, newborn care, and postpartum care,• GE fetal monitors used on unit,• EMR system: Meditech CPN,• Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts),• Every third weekend required,• 12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule,Job Requirements• Active VA or compact RN license required,• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, AAP card), and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or Advanced) or NCCEFM,• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start,• Minimum 2 years of recent labor experience required,• Experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes is preferred,• US SSN and DOB required for consideration - no Canadian SSNs accepted,• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri),• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,Additional Information• Responsibilities include caring for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients,• Navy blue scrubs required; MIU nurses wear pink badges for infant security,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible,
