Solving complex problems, designing scalable systems, taking technical ownership and leading small teams.What you’ll be doing:Designing and building high-performance backend systemsHelping modernise and replace components of a core legacy platformWorking across architecture, design and hands-on developmentBuilding scalable services and microservicesCarrying out code reviews and helping maintain engineering standardsLeading and mentoring other engineersWorking closely with technical and business stakeholdersWhat we’re looking for:Strong backend software engineering experienceCommercial experience with Java, Python or C#Strong problem-solving and system design skillsExperience building scalable, distributed or high-performance systemsExperience with code reviews and leading other engineersExperience with some of the following would be particularly useful:JavaKafkaKubernetes / containerised microservicesAzure or other cloud platformsCucumber / BDDAutomated testingDistributed systemsSalary: $120,000–$160,000 + bonus & benefitsLocation: Boston, MAWorking pattern: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsitePlease note: This position cannot provide current or future visa sponsorship.
