DescriptionFlexi is seeking a driven, hands-on Controller to help lead our accounting/finance function through this next stage of growth. Reporting to the CEO, the Controller will be responsible for owning the monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making through financial insight and operational discipline. This role will be an experienced accounting leader with deep technical expertise, GAAP mastery, and exposure to FP&A, ideally in a software or recurring-revenue environment.This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, Ga, with a preferred in-office presence of at least two days per week.About FlexiFlexi Software has been a trusted provider of accounting solutions for over 30 years, offering both cloud-based and on-premise software tailored for organizations with complex accounting requirements, such as multi-entity and intercompany accounting. Quality Standard is headquartered in New York, NY.Roles And ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial OperationsLead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesEnsure the accurate and timely preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statementsOversee general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation and reviewManage internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance standardsPrepare and deliver timely financial reports and covenant compliance packages to lendersManage and develop a small internal accounting teamFinancial Planning & ReportingSupport the CEO with annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modelingConduct variance analysis and develop actionable insights for business unit leadersDesign and deliver reporting packages and dashboards to senior leadershipDevelop and continuously monitor financial and operational KPIs across departments to drive decision-makingProcess Improvement & SystemsEvaluate and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and scalabilitySupport implementation and optimization of financial systems and toolsLeverage automation and technology to streamline reporting and controlsCollaborationAct as a strategic partner to functional leaders ensuring financial visibility and discipline across departmentsProvide financial insights to support pricing strategies, margin optimization, and resource allocation decisionsCollaborate with leadership to align financial plans with company-wide goals and operational executionRequirementsBetween 5-7 years of experience as controller with total accounting experience of 15 years, including leadership of accounting or finance functionsCPA preferred; public accounting experience strongly valuedThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 and other technical accounting standardsExperience in a software, SaaS, or recurring-revenue business strongly preferredProven track record managing monthly close processes and preparing financial statementsExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisAbility to lead and manage a small team or external partners with accountabilityHighly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skillsPossess the ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment while being a team player, willing to roll up their sleeves to do whatever is needed to deliver the customer experience we strive forAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationExhibit the Company’s core values: Do the Right Thing, Own It, Raise the Standard, Elevate Each OtherPERSONAL CHARACTERISTICSWired for ownership.
