Position: Accounting ManagerReports to: Director of AccountingLocation: Columbus, OhioPay Range: $120,000 - $140,000We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.Superior is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting and financial function. This role will manage the General Ledger team, lead the month-end close process, and perform financial reporting. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, OhioKey ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the General Ledger (GL) team and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and reportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including cash flow, for multiple entities and manage the consolidation processPartner with external auditors to support annual financial statement audits and tax engagementsEnsure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls across general accounting functionsParticipate in accounting policy development, technical research, and implementation of new accounting standardsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of core accounting operationsYour Character TraitsYou're organized, great at prioritization, and have strong attention to detailYou're a team player and collaborate across the organizationYou're trustworthy and can exercise confidentially and neutrality in sensitive situationsYou're passionate about investing in the professional development of junior colleaguesYour ExpertiseRequired: You have at least 5 years of experience in Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Auditing, or a related fieldRequired: You have earned your bachelor's degree in AccountingBonus Points: You have your CPABonus Points: You have experience in public accounting and large corporate financial reportingBonus Points: You're familiar with Accounting in the construction industryOur BenefitsWe offer a range of professional and personal perks that you can enjoy as a member of Superior.
