Job Description This position is part of AbbVie's Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) team within Business Technology Solutions. The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the organization's IAM strategy, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant access to systems and data. The IAM team supports all verticals, including User Lifecycle Management, Privileged Account Management, Directory Services, MFA/Federation/SSO, Access Certifications, Role Based Access Control, External Identity Management, and Application & System Integration. We are here to put our partners in a position to succeed by providing the knowledge, tools, and support they need to effectively use data and technology while managing risk.This position can be virtual anywhere in the U.S.In this role, you'll be responsible for:Leading the strategy, execution, and governance of multi-year IAM transformation initiatives across the enterpriseDefining program objectives, success criteria, and roadmaps to deliver technology capabilities and process enhancements for IAMManaging large, cross‐functional project teams—including technical, business, and vendor resources—across multiple workstreamsOverseeing the implementation of IAM solutions, including onboarding of applications, privileged access management (PAM), identity lifecycle management, and access governanceDriving change management efforts to achieve broad business adoption and process optimization, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communicationsCollaborating with IT, Security, Compliance, HR, and business units to ensure seamless integration and alignment with other enterprise programsIdentifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and issues affecting program delivery, scope, and adoptionManaging program budgets, financials, vendor contracts, and resource allocationsMaintaining high standards in documentation, reporting, and status communication to executive leadership and stakeholdersSupporting audit, regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI‐DSS), and remediation activities related to IAMTracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure program success and drive continuous improvementDeveloping and enhancing governance frameworks, policies, and process controls for IAMQualificationsBachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience OR Master's Degree and 6+ years of experience OR PhD and 2+ years of experience5+ years of direct experience managing enterprise IAM, cybersecurity, or technology implementation programsProven track record leading large‐scale, multi-disciplinary projects and transformation initiativesStrong experience with change management and driving large‐scale organizational adoptionDemonstrated ability to engage, influence, and communicate at all levels of the organization, including executives and global stakeholdersKnowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to identity and access (SOX, GDPR, PCI, etc.)Excellent analytical, problem‐solving, and decision‐making abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication and presentation skillsBachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business management, or related disciplineBeneficialFamiliarity with IAM concepts, standards, and leading practices (identity governance, privileged access, SSO, MFA, RBAC, etc.)Experience working with or managing vendors and system integrators delivering IAM or security solutionsAdvanced degrees or certifications such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or IAM/Cybersecurity certificationsAdditional InformationThe compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
