Come join our growing team!Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm (OT based on business need)Job SummaryWelder I is an entry-level skilled position responsible for performing basic welding and fabrication tasks under close supervision. The role involves reading simple blueprints, operating welding equipment, and ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities\nPerform basic welding operations using MIG processes.\nRead and interpret simple blueprints, drawings, and work orders.\nPrepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.\nSet up welding machines and select appropriate tools and materials.\nInspect completed welds to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.\nMaintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs.\nFollow company safety standards and wear required PPE.\nAssist senior welders with complex fabrication tasks.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nTechnical training or welding certification preferred.\n1-3 years of welding experience.\nBasic knowledge of welding techniques and metal properties.\nAbility to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.\nAbility to read basic blueprints and technical documents.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.\n\nSkills & Competencies\nBasic knowledge of welding safety procedures.\nMechanical aptitude.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nGood hand-eye coordination.\nWillingness to learn and accept supervision.\n\nWorking Conditions\nExposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise.\nWork indoors.\nOvertime may be required based on production demands.\n\n#LI-CI1BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan.About Us:BrandSafway is a leading global provider of access, specialized services, and forming and shoring solutions to the industrial, commercial and infrastructure markets.
