Our products are on the front lines of elevator construction worldwide – and our people are known throughout the industry for talent, dedication, and superior customer service.Position Summary:Under the direction of the Software Development Manager, executes the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Wurtec software platforms. This is an onsite position based at Wurtec's Toledo office. The ideal candidate will possess an ownership mentality and a continuous improvement mindset. The role requires excellent customer service and technical support.Essential Duties include but are not limited to: Design and implement software to develop revolutionary and novel products for the elevator and escalator (E&E) industry.Assist the engineering team in software development and maintenance projects.Design, develop, test, debug, and implement solutions for both new & existing systems.Prepare flow charts to document system logic and processes.Identify and develop solutions to address technical debt.Excel at troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Analyze acceptance criteria and provide estimates of effort.Manage projects to ensure they are completed logically and efficiently.Write reusable and maintainable code.Contribute to goal and objective development for the engineering department; recommend, implement, and assist with administering methods and procedures to enhance operations.Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in web development.Accept all projects assigned and see them through to completion.Technical Skills and Experience:RequiredSolid experience in application and software systems developmentExperience designing and developing cloud-based solutions (AWS or similar)Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript/CExperience using LinuxExperience with React, GraphQL (Apollo Server), Postgres, Twilio, and WebRTCStrong knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing software test and evaluation proceduresExperience with containerization and CI/CD toolingPreferredExperience using AI tools to develop code (ex: Claude Code)Experience with AWS IoTExperience using embedded computers (ex.
