Receiving Clerk(Class C Driver)
Job Description
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring all incoming shipments are received, inspected, and accurately recorded, while maintaining organized inventory and supporting production needs. This role also requires operating a company vehicle to transport materials, equipment, and supplies between company locations and vendors. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operational flow, and ensuring timely delivery and receipt of materials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Receiving and Inventory Control - Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders - Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly - Accurately enter received goods into the inventory system - Label, tag, and properly store inventory in designated locations - Maintain organization and cleanliness of receiving and storage areas - Communicate with Purchasing, Production, and Quality regarding incoming materials and shortages - Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed Driving and Material Transport - Operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver materials, parts, and supplies to vendors, customers, or between company locations - Ensure materials are properly secured during transport - Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs - Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies Operational Support - Assist production with material movement and staging as needed RECEIVING CLERK (CLASS C DRIVER) JOB DESCRIPTION - Support shipping activities when required - Maintain accurate documentation and filing of receiving records - Assist with special projects as assigned Qualifications - Required - Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record - Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (or ability to become certified) - Basic computer skills and ability to enter data accurately - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications - Preferred - Previous receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience - Experience with inventory or ERP systems - Forklift certification Work Environment - Manufacturing and warehouse environment - Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials - Indoor and outdoor driving in various weather conditions
