Professional Line Cook

We are looking for experienced Line Cooks for both part-time & full-time positions with day, evening and weekend shifts to be part of our team in our Pub & Restaurant in Portland, Maine! - $18-$22 per hour starting pay based on experience - Partial Health Insurance reimbursement (hours qualification and qualifying period for eligibility) - Paid Time Off Who You Are - You have a passion for, and strong knowledge of food and culinary techniques - You take pride in your position and in the presentation and quality of the food that you provide for service - You take pride in the cleanliness and sanitation of the station in which you are working, and the kitchen as a whole - You are a “Team Player”, considerate to the experience of all guests, as well as the experience of your fellow employees - You are organized and have strong communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task - You have experience in a high-volume, full-service scratch kitchen What You Will be Doing - Preparing high quality, timely food menu items for general service and special / private events to the exact spec provided - Completing items assigned on prep and portioning lists as outlined by the Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef / BOH Supervisor in preparation for service needs - Taking initiative to prepare general items (slicing and dicing etc.) for service to restock stations without the need for significant guidance - Adhering to all Company SOP’s with regards to health & sanitation - Keeping work-stations clean, organized and inspection ready at all times - Cleaning and maintaining all small wares and equipment in the kitchen - Ensuring that set-up and break-down tasks are completed to standard - Ensuring that all local and state laws are followed as related to the service of food and the BOH facility in general Buzz Hospitality Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
