Primary Job Title: Senior Contract ManagerLocation: West Lafayette, INOnsite Flexibility: OnsiteContract Details:Position Type: ContractContract Duration: 12 36 monthsStart: June 1, 2026Pay Rate: $66.15 / Hour (USD)Shift / Schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday Friday, Eastern TimeWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job Summary: The Senior Contract Manager is a contract position supervised by the Owner Project Director. This role requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Legal and 5 10 years of related experience. The Senior Contract Manager will manage contracts, develop strategies, monitor risks, and ensure contractual awareness within project teams. Responsibilities also include facilitating communication, supporting legal and procurement claims, and supporting audits. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, complemented by an understanding of plant engineering, with knowledge of contract management principles and the ability to build a strong basis for a claim (cost and schedule impacts) for contractual deviations.Key Responsibilities:Participate in the Front End phase to provide its view on the operability of the contract under negotiationManage the contract and create contractual awareness among team members from early in the project via the Contract Management Plan (CMP)Plan and develop contract and claim management strategies during project executionMonitor and control commercial risks and opportunities during the project lifetime, particularly related to deviations from the project baselinesInform and mentor project team members on contractual requirements (notifications, alerts, etc.)Set up and administer claim management logs/toolsFacilitate communication between other disciplines not directly involved in project executionEstablish a working relationship with the client, supporting the Project Manager in managing contractual communication and negotiationsActively participate in the project execution team, working with engineering, procurement, and subcontracting on commercial, financial, and contractual requirements, minimizing liability exposure and retaining project profitabilitySolicit cost and schedule impacts for Claim management to the client, subcontractors, vendors, etc., as may be requiredSupport Legal and Procurement for Client and/or Vendor ClaimsProvide flexible approach to support Reimbursable contract administration, with Project Controls resource support, for man-hours and expenses invoicing in accordance with Contract requirementsSupport audits and all other quality assurance internal processesEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or LegalRequired Experience:At least 5 10 years of related experience in contract managementContract form and Contract Management principlesContract Management tools and proceduresBasic technical understanding of plant engineeringGeneral RMPC knowledge: Scheduling, progress, and critical pathExperience in cost estimating (reviewing/challenging basis)Required Skills:Fluent English (spoken and written)Excellent communication skills, written and oralStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to effectively interface with various disciplines/organizations and various contract types, including government-related contractsKnowledge of Google and MS softwareWork Environment / Physical Requirements:Office/site environmentPPE required: Hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and high visibility clothing as required per site HSE requirementsLifting up to 10 lbsBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the Client: A global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare.
