MCS Manufacturing Associate

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a MCS Manufacturing Associate for a contract position with a Major Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative team environment and be responsible for both non-GMP and GMP manufacturing activities to support our client's early-phase clinical pipeline of synthetic drug products. This role involves hands-on support for a Synthetic Drug Substance Scale-Up Facility and a Drug Product (DP) facility.Responsibilities:Hands-on cleaning and setup of processing equipment and process roomsSupport manufacturing new process introduction activitiesAssist in the review of facility and equipment documentation such as equipment/room logbooksMaintain raw materials and consumables inventorySupport the day-to-day operational needs of the facilityRequirements:High school/GED and 2 years of work or military experience OR Associate's degree and 6 months of work or military experienceExperience with chemical hygieneGood documentation practicesProficiency in the use of tools relevant to manufacturing and processingDesired skills:Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Engineering related fieldsAbility to adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Understanding of typical unit operations for the manufacture of synthetic drug substance (i.e., weighing and dispensing, reactor charging, reactor and filter operations) and for drug product (i.e., granulation, roller compaction, drying, milling, blending, compression, encapsulation and film coating)Ability to identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functionsFamiliarity with PPE and ability to use a PAPR and breathing air suitsAbility to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and a proactive leadership mindsetAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudePay range: up to $26.62 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!Aptask Global Workforce (AGW)ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
