DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will undertake a range of responsibilities that include performing routine maintenance on automotive fleet equipment, such as changing light bulbs, hoses, clamps, filters, and tires, as well as replacing or recharging batteries and checking fluid levels. You will also assist mechanics with more complex repairs, including engine rebuilds, heating and cooling systems, transmissions, clutches, brake systems, and hydraulic systems, along with conducting basic body repair work. Additionally, you will support the storeroom operations by retrieving parts as necessary and contribute to the maintenance and repair of the building and grounds. Working under general supervision, you will exercise independent judgment regarding repair needs and methods after receiving work orders that outline specific issues. It is essential to provide daily updates to your supervisor on the status of the equipment you are responsible for and to promptly inform them when a task is completed.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Seasonal full-time employmentWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
