About the Role:
The Procurement Assistant, Supply Chain supports day-to-day procurement, supply chain, and contract administration activities, ensuring efficient purchasing, supplier coordination, and compliance with organizational requirements. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support procurement strategies, contract execution, and inventory control. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this position will assist in coordinating procurement and contracting procedures to support organizational effectiveness, cost control, and risk mitigation.
Location: Irvine, CA, fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
Support procurement and supply chain activities, including purchase order creation, vendor set ups, tracking, and supplier follow-up.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure program, customer, and product requirements are aligned with procurement and contracting activities.
Assist in evaluating supplier proposals, pricing, terms, and conditions to support best-value outcomes.
Support the preparation, execution, and administration of contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
Monitor supplier and contract performance, escalating issues, or supporting resolution as required.
Maintain accurate procurement, contract, supplier, and inventory records within Sage and other business systems.
Support inventory control, logistics coordination, and shipping/receiving documentation as required.
Assist with supplier relationship management and contribute to supplier performance and improvement activities.
Support risk identification and mitigation activities within procurement and supply chain operations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, audit requirements, and contractual obligations.
Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency through systems and technology.
Required Skills, Experience and Behaviors:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing.
Minimum two years of experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience using Sage or similar ERP systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work independently and take initiative. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Knowledge of office equipment, supplies, and procedures.

Base salary range of $65k - $75k per annum. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to location, skill set; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
