The provider should be Board certified in Neurology, with special training in EMG or EEG. Some of the types of patients and diagnoses that a neurologist may see are: stroke, epilepsy, headaches and migraines, brain, brain aneurysms, peripheral neuropathy, sleep disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinsons disease and Alzheimers disease, neuromuscular diseases, such as myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis (MS), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), infections of the nervous system, such as encephalitis, meningitis, and HIV.
