Job Title: IT Support technician (Network and cabling)Location: 70433, Covington, Louisiana, United States (Onsite)RATE -- $21 PER HOUR ON W2Job SummaryWe are looking for a IT Support technician (Network and cabling) with experience supporting network infrastructure and telecom equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with racking, stacking, cabling, troubleshooting, and maintaining network devices in a data center or field environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, rack, stack, cable, and decommission network equipment.Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and perform basic diagnostics.Support routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi, and telecom devices.Respond to ServiceNow tickets and provide onsite technical support.Perform cable patching, power installation, and equipment replacement.Identify network circuits, switch ports, and perform DNS lookups and ping tests.Provide smart hands support for network and telecom infrastructure.Support fiber optic and copper cabling installations.Assist with IP Telephony, wireless, LTE/5G, and other communication systems.Follow change management, safety, security, and operational procedures.Work with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve issues.Required Skills4+ years of experience in Network, Telecom, or Infrastructure Support.Experience with racking, stacking, cabling, and hardware installation.Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, WiFi, LAN/WAN, and DNS.Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience working in data center, telecom, or field support environments.
