This position will lead and participate in internal audits to ensure compliance and identify continuous improvement opportunities. The Quality Operations Compliance Coordinator will work closely with Nampa’s Operations team to help ensure clear understanding and focus on hygiene/GMP and QC check requirements. This position helps develop operators and closely partners with the leaders of the Operations team and operators to tactically assure that hygiene/GMP and QC check compliance is met daily.Job Responsibilities & Tasks Focus on good housekeeping practices, hygiene, sanitation, work area clutter Work closely with Sanitation DepartmentIdentifying areas that require cleaning and organizationSupport the Continuous Improvement dept with the 5S programPerforms, monitors, and tracks hygienic/GMP monitoring programs:Environmental swabbing for pathogens, yeast, and moldWater samplingIn-house Microbiological testingSAS testing of ambient airSampling of compressed air and nitrogenOperator hand swabsLead Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Audits to ensure compliance and identify continuous improvement opportunitiesDeliver training to production employees regarding hygiene/GMPs and QC checksSupport and train on why this is critical in a FOOD manufacturing factoryValidates that Quality related procedures are adhered to, through internal auditing, proficiency testing, and new operator training validationsAll other duties as assigned EducationPosition Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field is strongly preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeSix Sigma Green Belt certification is strongly preferredExperienceMinimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in a food/beverage/pharma manufacturing environment is requiredGMP and Hygiene certificationCompletion or ability to successfully complete Internal Audit trainingPrevious experience working in quality assurance is strongly preferred6Sigma Green belt certified or the ability to be certified within the first yearSkillsStrong attention to detail and ability to conduct auditsMust have a passion for being on the plant floor and interacting with employees at all levelsStrong interpersonal, communication, training, and coaching skillsMust be able to challenge the status quo in a professional mannerMust have strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to communicate proficiently in English verbally and in writing (including email) Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office) Physical & Travel RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 40 lbs.Must be able to work 8-12 hours per day and be on their feet for extended periods of timeBe able to work all shifts (primarily day shift)Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Bel Brands is an equal employment opportunity employer.
