Landfill Gas Technician

Job Title: Landfill Gas TechnicianJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Gas Technician and play a crucial role in managing landfill gas operations. You will be responsible for collecting and uploading data from wellfield monitoring events to our site database and reviewing this data to tune individual wells. Your duties will also include performing operation and maintenance (O&M) on various liquid management systems, such as pneumatic or electric driven pumps as required. Develop a basic understanding of environmental regulations related to Landfill Gas (LFG) and Gas Collection and Control Systems (GCCS). You will also adhere to job-related and site-specific health and safety requirements and procedures, and be available for on-call response to GCCS related malfunction events.Hard Skills2+ years of landfill gas O&M experienceExperience in monitoring wells, tuning, SEMs (Elkins) etc.Ability to calibrate, operate and maintain electronic data collection devices (Envision or GEM)40 HR HAZWOPER is a plusClean driving record (MVR)Comfortable with reporting and computer softwareSoft SkillsStrong attention to detailExcellent communication skillsAbility to work effectively independentlyWork EnvironmentWork between a main landfill site in the Tri-City area and another near Knoxville, TN.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
