M&A Private Equity Business Development - Internship

Inflection Point Partners is a buy-side M&A advisory firm working with leading lower and middle market PE funds on a retained and opportunistic basis. We also run a direct investment arm acquiring companies in business services.We're hiring a BD Associate to work directly with the founder on building our PE coverage and referral network - wealth managers, CPAs, corporate bankers, and attorneys.Private equity coverage is the core of this role. You'll help systematically cover the middle market PE landscape, sit in on PE calls and meetings, and build direct relationships with investors at some of the most active firms in the country. Few seats at this level give this kind of unfiltered access to how PE firms source, evaluate, and win deals.What you'll doSupport outreach and relationship management across our PE coverage universe and referral partnersBuild and maintain detailed PE firm profiles (fund size, sector focus, portfolio, recent activity, key contacts)Own CRM hygiene and pipeline trackingCoordinate conference strategy — target lists, scheduling, briefing docsDraft outbound communications, intro notes, and meeting recapsGet direct exposure to our investment arm and live deals in business services — diligence conversations, deal reviews, and sourcing strategyWhat we're looking forStrong written and verbal communicatorOrganized, detail-oriented, coachableCurious about PE, M&A, and how deals get doneFinance or BD interest a plus; no specific background requiredWe look forward to hearing from you.
