Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Internal Medicine/ Primary Care) - Elizabeth City, NCLocation: Elizabeth City, NCSpecialty: Internal Medicine / Primary CareEmployment Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PMPatient population: Ages 16 and aboveFacility Setting: OutpatientPosition Overview:We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a well-established outpatient primary care clinic. This role is ideal for both new graduates and experienced providers who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment.The provider will manage a diverse adult patient population, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute condition treatment while working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.Key Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessmentsDiagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based guidelinesDevelop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plansProvide preventive care services, health screenings, and patient educationManage chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular diseasesPrescribe medications and order diagnostic tests in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocolsCollaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate careMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care as neededParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practicesEnsure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical standardsQualifications:Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in North CarolinaGraduation from an accredited NP or PA programMinimum 1 year of experience preferred in Internal Medicine or Primary CareNew graduates are encouraged to applyComfortable managing chronic medical conditionsStrong clinical judgment and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to high-quality, patient-centered careBenefits & Perks:Competitive benefits packageHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO)Continuing medical education (CME) opportunitiesSupportive clinical environment with opportunities for professional growthPotential sign-on or relocation assistance (based on eligibility)
