We pride ourselves on fostering an environment where we make a positive impact on others; upholding our beliefs in integrity, inclusion and belonging.Your Impact Starts the Day You Do!What We Need:We are looking for a Working Zone Leader - 2nd shift to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings - Operations team. What You Will Do:Read and follow schedules, while following standard work processes and adhering to all quality standards and safety rules    Identifies and implements improvement opportunities Identifies and provides coaching to member(s) within the area/zone when failures arise Updates Standard Work for area/zone as improvements are made/identified Audits performed daily Responsible for abnormality/variation response for area/zone Technical expert of all jobs within area responsible for and able to perform all jobs as needed Provides flexibility to break bottle necks and step in as members of the line need to tend to other priorities – does not perform a job exclusively beyond intermittent coverage Certified trainer for all jobs in area/zone, but does not provide training to new hires Own production control management and identify causes of disruption Engagement in daily MDI & Problem-Solving – specific use of 5- WHY daily  Conducts daily start up with area/zone metrics and communicates member staffing assignments (Group Leader will set the schedule/assignments) Responsible for driving engagement within area/zone Responsible for creating and handing off end of shift report  What You Have:Experience in a skilled, technical, or manufacturing capacity is required (HNI experience preferred)Consistent work history, strong work performance, and dependability Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environmentAbility to solve production related problems quickly Ability to read, understand, and interpret standard work Ability to take direction and provide direction through delegation to others Ability to work both as part of a team and independently as neededWhat You’re Good At:Applying general rules to specific problems to provide solutions that make sense Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, while maintaining a positive attitude and approach Assists in providing feedback to Group Leader on general member performance
