For more information, visit www.ascendtogether.com.The RoleAs a key member of the admin team, this role will utilize a strong understanding of billing procedures to assist with the accurate and timely monthly billing process and special projects as needed. This role will initially begin in office and move to a hybrid environment based out of San Diego, CA.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and verify billing information to ensure completeness and accuracy of invoicesCommunicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and issuesMaintain billing files and documentation while assisting in month-end activities related to billingCollaborate with billing manager to ensure billing processes are efficient and effectiveFamiliarize self with special arrangements for clients and be a resource to billing professionals on how to best implement arrangementsCreate and update client billing notesCommunicate effectively with billing professionals and clients to solve problems that arise during or post billing process to ensure bills are delivered timely. Escalate any issues to the Billing Manager, if necessary, clearly articulate the problem and possible solutionsActively listen to issues raised by billing professionals and offer suggestions to the Billing Manager on process changes to address the issuesAssist/collaborate with Collections to resolve billing issues resulting in payment problemsCreate billing schedules and account analyses as requestedRequired Qualifications2+ years of billing experienceProficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelExcellent spelling, grammar, and math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division and calculating percentages)Preferred QualificationsBA/BS degree from an accredited universityPrior experience working in public accountingKnowledge of CCH billing systemsStrong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skillsStrong ability to grasp processes and procedures, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure Who We Look ForA self-starter who proactively focuses on providing excellent and responsive service to clients and team members. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position.
