Deputy Director
Location: Remote, preferably Bay Area or CaliforniaReports to: Executive Director Status: Full-time (est. 40 hrs/week) Compensation: $90,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience) Starting date: As soon as possibleElevAAte Biotech is a nonprofit advancing the leadership pipeline for East Asian Americans in U.S. biopharma. We run programming for senior executives, including investors, and operators.We're hiring a Deputy Director to serve as the Executive Director's right hand and organizational backbone. This is a senior role with significant ownership of programs, operations, and the work that keeps an organization moving.What you'll own:Program management across ElevAAte's flagship events and initiativesOperational systems and infrastructure that enable the org to scaleStrategic projects and communications in support of the EDResponsibilitiesOrganizational Strategy & ED SupportServe as a thought partner to the ED on organizational priorities, programming, and growthHelp develop and execute ElevAAte's annual plan and long-term strategyDevelop frameworks to evaluate impact and community growthPrograms & EventsOwn the end-to-end design and quality of ElevAAte's programming — multi-day leadership retreats, regional gatherings, research reportsEnsure events reflect ElevAAte's values and serve the needs of a senior biotech audienceManage volunteers and contractors supporting program deliveryFundraising SupportHelp develop sponsorship proposals and materialsMaintain donor and sponsor tracking in Salesforce and support follow-through on the ED's development pipelineOperations Oversee day-to-day organizational operations and internal systems, including SalesforceEnsure the organization has the structure, tools, and clarity to execute effectivelyQualifications5–10 years of experience in program management, operations, communications or a related fieldTrack record of managing complex projects and senior relationshipsStrong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable with executive-level audiencesExperience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development a strong plus.
