The culture encourages mentorship, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing across the organization.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Lead AV Technician who can confidently take ownership of residential integration projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on field role for someone who enjoys both the technical and physical aspects of installation—not someone looking to transition into a desk-only role.The ideal candidate is a highly capable technician with strong programming aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead by example in the field. This individual will serve as the lead technician on-site, mentor junior technicians, and help elevate the entire team through collaboration and knowledge sharing.This role primarily supports high-end residential new construction projects with some retrofit work.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Residential AV InstallationsExecute projects from pre-wire through final programming and client handoffInstall, troubleshoot, configure, and commission integrated AV and automation systemsBuild and terminate racks, trim systems, install devices, and perform final system testingProgramming & System IntegrationConfigure and support systems including:LutronCrestron HomeControl4Josh.aiAdditional smart home ecosystems as neededLighting & Shading SystemsInstall and support lighting control and motorized shading systemsExperience with Lutron, Hunter Douglas, or Draper shades is highly valuedTeam Leadership & MentorshipLead small field crews and work collaboratively with junior techniciansShare knowledge openly and help train less-experienced team membersFoster a team-oriented environment focused on collective successClient InteractionServe as the primary field contact for homeowners and buildersCommunicate professionally and confidently on-siteEnsure a clean, polished, and high-quality customer experienceRequired QualificationsExperience as a lead technician in residential AV or smart home integrationStrong understanding of at least one major control or automation platformAbility to manage projects independently in the fieldExperience reading plans, troubleshooting systems, and completing projects start-to-finishStrong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable performing physical installation work including crawl spaces, ladders, and job-site environmentsValid driver’s license and clean driving recordPreferred QualificationsExperience with:Lutron lighting and shading systemsCrestron HomeControl4Josh.aiExperience mentoring or training junior techniciansResidential new construction experienceRack building and system commissioning experienceCompensation$35–$41/hour depending on experience and expertiseBenefitsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time OffCompany HolidaysMonthly Training DaysCompany Vehicle Provided During Work HoursRelocation Assistance Available for the Right Candidate
