The Supervisor will manage the activities of the Yard Team by providing clear direction, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to ensure that Company goals are met.ResponsibilitiesPrimaryMaintain and control daily production and quality requirement in accordance with company guidelines and policy.Positioning team members at the start of the shift in order to maximize daily production in a safe manner, andadjust employee positioning throughout the shift if needed, to continue operation.Ensuring that all team members are in compliance with Glovis policy, procedures, and customer requirements.Handling employee training, coaching, attendance, disciplinary actions, and carrying on employee positive relations with team members.SecondaryDaily Audits must be completed and stored in UBC data base.Observing and analyzing facility and onsite vehicle up keeping on a day-to-day basis.Perform Administrative activities and record keeping associated with the effective management of UBC operations, including but not limited to, compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.Report numbers and file reports both electronically and physically on paper.Work with internal and external customers to meet and exceed customer expectations.Work with other Glovis departments, KaGA, and other suppliers in a professional manner.Learning to operate the forklift according to Glovis policy and procedures.Education & ExperienceHS Diploma/G.E.D.
