Low Voltage Apprentice

Job Position: Low Voltage HelperPay Rate: $18-$19/hrTradeSTAR is seeking a Low Voltage Helper to support commercial structured cabling, fire alarm, security, and access control projects throughout the Austin area. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced low-voltage professionals.Responsibilities• Assist technicians with installing structured cabling, fire alarm, access control, and security systems.• Pull, route, and support Cat5e, Cat6, and other low-voltage cabling.• Install J-hooks, conduit, ladder rack, cable tray, and other pathway systems.• Assist with mounting equipment, racks, panels, and devices.• Help with testing, troubleshooting, and basic system setup.• Maintain clean, organized job sites.• Follow safety procedures and support quality installations.• Assist with tools, materials, and general labor throughout the project.Qualifications• Previous construction or low-voltage experience is a plus but not required.• Desire to learn multiple low-voltage systems.• Ability to work well on a team and follow instructions.• Basic hand tools and safety awareness preferred.• Able to lift equipment and work from ladders or lifts.• Reliable transportation required.Benefits• Competitive pay: $18-$19/hour• Overtime available• Health benefits• Training and advancement opportunitiesIf you're looking to begin a career in the low-voltage industry, apply with TradeSTAR today.TradeSTAR - Austin Office305 N.
