Fleet Mechanic

Job Title : Fleet MechanicLocation: Milwaukee, WIJob Type: On-site, Full-timeJob DescriptionClient, a leader in the snow removal industry, is seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time, year-round Fleet Mechanic position in the Milwaukee/Madison/Northern Illinois area.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair company vehicles and equipment, including trucks, plows, and heavy equipment.Perform routine and preventive maintenance, such as oil changes and tune-ups.Conduct tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.Identify and repair mechanical problems.Examine critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems, including brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.Plan and establish timetables for completing repairs and maintenance.Visit job sites and other facilities to inspect vehicles.Maintain knowledge of DOT requirements.Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation.Perform other related duties as assigned.RequirementsValid driver's license; CDL B preferred.Availability to work long shifts during the snow season.Strong work ethic and attitude.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Background in brakes, suspension, exhaust and emissions, light fabrication, hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostics.Prior knowledge of skids, loaders, tractors, etc., is a plus.ASE/Other Certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
