You will also:Provide quality care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectations with a minimum of supervisionTriage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care systemDetermine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the hospital systemCommunicate with Emergency Department physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studiesRespond quickly, and with accuracy to changes in condition or response to treatment in the EDHours: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. DaysQualificationsEducational Requirements:* Graduate of accredited nursing program. BSN preferred* Minimum of an Associate's Degree in NursingLicense/Certifications:Valid California Registered Nurse LicenseBLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredACLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredPALS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required16-hour Pediatric Emergency Course (EDAP or ENPC) required within first year of employmentTNCC preferredExperience:* Minimum of 1 year ED experience required* Demonstrated dedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues
