Project Manager Architectural Millwork

We are a trusted millwork subcontractor with long-standing client relationships in Connecticut, Massachusetts, as well as serving the greater Boston market.
Qualified candidates will require a minimum of 5 years’ experience in all phases of architectural millwork project management and an understanding of manufacturing practices. This is a full-time in-person position at our Chicopee, MA facility with the potential for remote work.
Job requirements include:
* Remain a constant contact between internal departments, clients, outside vendors, sub-contractors, and installers as it pertains to coordinating project completion.
* Review all related project documents upon award and assignment including contract drawings, bulletins, RFI’s, specifications, quotes, estimating takeoffs, contracts, and schedules.
* Development of the project schedule that will outline the project lifecycle.
* Organize project handoff meeting between the following WAM departments: estimating / production / purchasing / engineering / project management.
* Read and review the owner’s building rules and regulations; document and alert others of any specific concerns within the contract to be aware of.
* Keep all WAM departments and external parties updated on all requirements of the project, including deadlines, changes to schedule or scope.
* Provide accurate responses to questions that arise from any internal or external customer. This includes facilitating RFI’s to the GC and/or Architect.
* Work with the GC to secure and understand all required coordination information integrated into contract scope.
* Review and assist in the creation of shop drawing submittal package with an understanding of common millwork practices.
* Track and review all potential cost change orders as they arise from various sources such as shop drawing markups, bulletins, CCD’s, SK’s, RFI’s, charge slips, emails, calls, etc. Compose a pricing request and forward all related documents to affected parties while maintaining deadlines for submission. Organize and present the subsequent Proposed Change Order to the GC.
* Alert and notify all approved Proposed Change Order’s into the WAM engineering and WAM production departments.
* Coordinate and track submittals of all material/finish samples and drawings.
* Acquire accurate field measurements from the site as well as attending site virtual meetings, shop drawing reviews, and scope walks as required.
* Accept, review, and file all documentation received from the contractor/design team and distribute accordingly (approved submittals, RFI’s, bulletins, etc.).
* Align with engineering department to provide all pertinent information and coordination to ensure a complete package is provided for clear production drawings.
* Create work orders with clear direction to the shop foreman and crews.
* Facilitate deliveries and notices to internal and external parties.
* Submit monthly billing requisitions and follow all billing and billing-related procedures, coordinating with WAM accounting department and the client. Constant follow up with the client to ensure billing is accurate and all requirements are met.
* Coordinate closeout documentation. Gather required documents to submit to the contractor with assistance from WAM office manager and WAM accounting.
* Keep the WAM department heads and others immediately updated about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
* Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner utilizing all the tools you have at your disposal.
* Job position requires excellent use of the following skill sets: verbal/written communication, time management, planning, executing, decision-making, technical, organization, and a managerial mindset.
* Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by WAM to ensure achievement of the requirements for this position.
* Must pass a physical as a condition for employment.

Salary:
$80K - $100K annual salary commensurate of experience
