Software Engineer-OSM (Buda)
The role Join DSI's corporate Dev team as a software engineer supporting Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM). Based at corporate, you will build and support web applications that help OSM teams manage scheduling, materials, capacity, and other operational work. You will work primarily with OSM project managers. Lane managers and shop leaders will provide operational context, feedback, and validation. You will take ideas and prototypes through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. This is a core software-engineering role with production ownership—not a help-desk or departmental-automation position. Travel is limited and purposeful. Expect more shop time during onboarding if useful; after that, travel is occasional and driven by the work. What you'll do • Partner with OSM project managers to understand needs, define outcomes, and shape practical solutions. • Consult lane managers and shop leaders when their operational knowledge is needed. • Administer the OSM GitHub organization, and own the standards, guardrails, and review process that let domain experts contribute safely to the platform. • Build and improve production web applications, primarily in TypeScript. • Turn early concepts and prototypes into secure, maintainable software that people can rely on. • Use the centralized data platform and the databases, APIs, and MCPs provided by the core team to power those applications. • Own OSM application delivery and maintenance: design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, documentation, user support, and issue triage.
