American Heritage Schools Palm Beach Campus is currently accepting applications for Teacher Assistants for 2026 Summer Institute. Summer Institute will take place for 3 sessions between June 8th - August 7th , 2026. The Teacher Assistant position is in charge of assisting the lead teacher with duties such as attendance and supervision during transitions.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Teacher Assistant position works under the supervision of the lead teacher, providing instructional support and specialized care to students. Their duties include documenting progress, supporting the students, and teacher with all school-related activities. They are also responsible for upholding the school's morals and values and ensuring the safety of the students. Record keeping such as attendance, grading, filing, and technology support may be a part of the assistant job as well.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAdministrative dutiesMaking copiesTaking attendance,Lunch ordersDismissal lineAssist in grading student's assignments when requested by the lead teacherFile/organize documents/student's assignments for preparation of grading and/or to be sent homeAssist with setting up classroom materials in preparation for activities/lessonsSupervise the students during class transitions and special activitiesEnsure the classroom is safe and cleanContact the Maintenance department with any requests for items that need attentionCommunicate effectively with the lead teacher regarding students' behavior, progress, or needs when the lead teacher is not presentEmployee understands that other tasks or duties may be added or assigned from time to time, in the discretion of the administration.
