Plant Manager needed in Modesto CA!
Pay: $160K-$185K
Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations at the entire site, including continuous panel line manufacture and ancillary processes. Ensuring the site manufactures high-quality products at standard manufacturing costs in an effective, safe, and profitable manner. This is accomplished through the direct management of subordinate managers and supervisors.
Essential Duties:
Maintain the panel line to produce a quality product efficiently and safely.
Ensure adherence to current quality standards.
Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
Ensure work orders are manufactured to meet customer delivery dates.
Assist in the implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Analyze and resolve work problems.
Effectively lead subordinate managers, supervisors, and employees.
Prepare and maintain appropriate production records.
Monitor, coordinate, and assist with physical inventory counts.
Measure and improve on manufacturing variances.
Ensure correct data recording for all required reports.
Help resolve customer problems or complaints.
Attend and participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required.
Keep informed of all government rules and regulations and how they apply to the industry.
Measure and manage through Key Performance Indicators.
Aid in the development of staff.
Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies, conducting regular audits and inspections, leading incident investigations, and driving a proactive safety culture aligned with local regulations and company standards.
Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting for the plant
Contribute to strategic planning and long-term operational goals
Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure uninterrupted production
Support corporate environmental goals and implement sustainable manufacturing practices
Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
Follow Compliance requirements per "KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities."
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Formal education is preferably a bachelor's degree or above.
10 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in a continuous product environment.
Knowledge and practice of modern manufacturing techniques.
Knowledge of labor laws.
Knowledge of the construction industry.
Know the operation of the panel producing equipment and accessory equipment.
Ability to calculate figures/amounts.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to train and instruct employees.
Good analytical problem-solving skills.
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Proven track record of lean manufacturing experience
Computer Skills:
Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.

Develops and executes annual operating plans , capital plans, and multi-year improvement roadmaps.
Participates in capital investment justification , prioritization, and execution to support growth and efficiency.
Uses financial and operational data to drive fact based decisions and performance improvement .
Ensures inventory accuracy, working capital discipline, and risk mitigation.
People & Culture Leadership
Builds a high accountability leadership team , holding managers responsible for results and behaviors.
Coaches, develops, and successionplans direct reports and future plant leaders.
Drives a strong performance management culture , including clear expectations, timely feedback, and consequence management.
Promotes a culture of safety, ownership, continuous improvement, and compliance .
Leads employee engagement initiatives and laborrelations strategy (where applicable).

Champions Lean manufacturing and operational excellence , leading systemic problem solving and waste elimination.
Ensures standardized work, KPI discipline, and daily management systems are consistently applied.
Balances throughput, quality, and cost while maintaining stable operations during change.
Leads major operational disruptions, incident response, and recovery efforts.
External & Enterprise Focus
Represents the plant with customers, auditors, regulators, and corporate stakeholders .
Ensures compliance with regulatory, environmental, safety, and labor requirements .
Partners with corporate functions to implement enterprise initiatives and best practices.
Drives sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship at the site.
