ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist in completing projects by drafting various Land Surveying mapping actions and exhibits, using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Assist Survey and Mapping team to meet deadlines by helping develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
Maintain quality control as outlined in the Rick Engineering Company Quality Control Manual.
Assist in fulfilling client agreements by using cross-sections and surveys to draw maps, diagrams and profiles.
Assist clients with exhibits as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS :
High school graduate or equivalent
technical training plus experience drafting public works and/or land development plans, or the equivalent work experience of three (5-20) years.
Auto CAD and Civil 3D
The ability to apply Land Survey and Mapping principles, techniques and procedures to design production, develop and organize plans from start to finish and research existing data and plots on plans.
The ability to meet acceptable production standards and interact with all levels of project team as well as other departments.
Demonstrate knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
Display high standards of professional quality in the finished work product demonstrating an understanding of Rick Engineering Company’s CADD standards and procedures.
The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
The ability to apply general rules to specific problems, produce answers that make sense and learn from mistakes taking notes when appropriate.
The ability to observe, receive and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
The ability to keep up-to-date technically, apply new knowledge to your job and assist others to be more productive.
The ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers and subordinates by telephone, in written form, email, or in person, work as a team and readily accept job assignments.
The ability to manually create and/or trace plans, check others’ work, adapt to previous work on plans, read and understand grading/improvement plans and aerial topography.
Display working knowledge of windows functionality and basic drafting tools.
The ability to operate electrostatic plotters, perform file translations and effectively utilize File Fixer.
