This is a first-shift, contract role with opportunities to further develop your technical skillset and contribute to vital projects.Responsibilities- Set up and operate manual lathes, manual mills, CNC mills, and precision grinders to produce metal parts and mechanisms to exact tolerances- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining sequence, setup, and number of cuts- Perform in-process and final part inspections using machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments- Execute standard shop computations related to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds- Maintain and care for all shop equipment, ensuring readiness of tooling and materials- Keep a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols- Train team members in Mill/Lathe equipment setup, operation, and maintenance procedures- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to support team goals- Prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time to meet production deadlinesRequired Skills and Experience- 3+ years of machining experience, including manual machine operation and setup- Proficient in CNC mills and programming software (Mastercam, CAMworks)- Strong ability to read and interpret technical specifications, production diagrams, and assembly drawings (English)- Skilled in performing complex measurements and advanced shop math calculations- Experience fabricating component parts with non-routine setups and tight tolerances- Able to work standing for extended periods and lift or move 35-50 lbs as required- High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Skills- Experience with Fanuc and HAAS Controllers- 4+ years on 3-Axis CNC machines; experience with 4 and 5 Axis a plus- Advanced CAM programming proficiency with MastercamBenefits- Collaborative, high-energy work environment with opportunities for career growth- Exposure to innovative projects and advanced machining technology- Training and development support- Competitive contract compensation- 9/80A first-shift schedule for enhanced work-life balance- Travel opportunities up to 10%How to ApplyReady to join an industry leader and work on projects that shape the future?
