HR Generalist

ESCO Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ESE), an innovative, global provider of highly engineered products and solutions across aerospace and defense, shielding and testing, and utility solutions markets, seeks a motivated and driven Human Resources Generalist. Based at its global headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, and reporting to the HR & Talent Strategy Lead, this new role will have responsibility for the support and execution of core human resources and talent development for ESCO and its subsidiaries, assisting in the development and implementation of processes and policies that contribute to high-quality career life cycles for our employees and the success of our operations.Duties/Responsibilities Core HR Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and updates policies and practices to maintain compliance. Completes and monitors federal reporting: AAP, EEO, VETS. Keeps abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, employment law and retention schedules. Conducts HR audits, analyzes results and makes recommendations to subsidiary HR leadership. Assists with M&A due diligence. Addresses ad hoc employment-related inquiries; refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and/or assessments. Assists with recruiting for open positions in the corporate office; handle pre-employment contingencies; onboard new hires. Off-boards exiting employees. Talent Development Assists in the creation of a development model for high potential employees identified through succession planning. Facilitates continuous improvement in key HR areas such as retention, performance management, employee satisfaction, strengthening front-line supervision, and HR processes. Identifies options for staff development in the areas of leadership, collaboration, team building, communication, and other soft skills. Organizes routine schedule for employee performance reviews. Initiates and monitors completion of preemployment assessments for executive hires throughout the organization Culture and Engagement Promotes HR practices, programs and processes that support our company’s culture and the engagement of our employees. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and retention; and training and development. Gathers and analyzes data with useful HR metrics in support of making recommendations to HR leadership. Special Projects Process improvement via Project Frontier and other ad hoc project management Manages system access: ThinkHR, AAIM, LinkedIn, etc. Annual HR Conference planning and execution Assists with internal HR communications, as needed Other projects, as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities Thorough knowledge of employment-related federal, state, and local laws Ability to multitask and manage projects/action plans. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Aptitude for problem solving, strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Solid relationship-building skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
