This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in fire alarm systems, code compliance inspections, and life safety systems within commercial, residential, or industrial environments.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire alarm systems, NYC fire/life safety codes, and inspection procedures, along with excellent communication and documentation skills.ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections, testing, and evaluations of fire alarm and life safety systemsEnsure compliance with applicable NFPA standards, NYC building/fire codes, and client requirementsConduct field inspections and identify deficiencies or code violationsPrepare detailed inspection reports and documentationCoordinate with contractors, property managers, engineers, and AHJs as neededSupport fire alarm code consulting activities and provide recommendations for corrective actionsMaintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and service activitiesAssist with project closeouts and compliance verificationPerform all other duties as assigned by managerQualifications1–5 years of experience in fire alarm inspection, life safety systems, or code consultingBachelor's degree preferred NICET Level I certification minimum requiredKnowledge of NFPA codes and NYC fire/building regulationsExperience performing field inspections of fire alarm systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and system schematicsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsAdditional NICET certifications (Level II+) a plusExperience with commercial high-rise or mixed-use propertiesOSHA certification is a plusAdditional InformationFor more information, please visit www.socotec.usJob Type: Full-TimeSalary range: $75,000-$115,000Your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.SOCOTEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
