Retail Pharmacy Technician 2

Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, days/evenings rotating shifts. Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 Job Responsibilities: Completes insurance benefit investigation to verify eligibility and active coverage. Contact patients to coordinate refills, collect copay if applicable and schedule delivery or pick up. Follow up with prescribers to send new Rx if needed. Notify clinical pharmacist if patient reports taking any new medications or have questions regarding medication prescribed. Maintain communication with the pharmacy team and providers regarding patient needs. Minimum Requirements: Education:High School or GED. Certification:Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire. Preferred Requirements: Experience:Two (2) years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
