We aim to provide not just a professional and entertaining experience, but also an experience people will remember for the rest of their lives.As a Banquet Server at A-Basin, you will serve plated dinners to guests at special events and weddings in a banquet-style environment. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors , including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.Pay range:$15.00/ hr + Service Charge PayoutESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provide prompt, accurate , professional, and friendly F&B service to guests during weddings and special eventsResponsible for setting patron tables, serving plated or buffet food items, clearing dirty dishes from tables, and the ongoing cleanliness of the venueSet up and tear down event and wedding venues per manager instruction or guest requests, while adhering to best practices of the banquet service industryComplete opening and closing side work according to manager's instructionMake sure all areas are stocked with supplies; notify manager of any product or equipment needs in accordance with F&B proceduresPrepare and serve drinks and cocktailsWork as part of a cohesive team to help create a positive work environment for allFollow all appropriate regulations for Food Service, Safety & Sanitation, SDS, TIPS, and COVID restrictionsMaintain professionalism in appearance and guest interactionHelp out with any F&B role as per manager's instructionFollow all departmental sustainability guidelines as expectedPerform other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous F&B service experience - preferredAbility to multi-task and self-directGreat attention to detailExcellent communication and organizational skillsMust be available weekends and holidaysMust adhere to A-Basin’s appearance and grooming standards for F&B banquet staffMust provide own and approved uniform, including non-slip shoes, black dress shirt, and pantsThis position requires successful completion of a background check.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalentTIPS certification - preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all timesAbility to stand, walk, and navigate stairs throughout an 8+ hour shiftAbility to Use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, squat, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.WORKING CONDITIONS:This position works in a banquet-service/restaurant environment with most time spent working indoors in a high-altitude environment. Some work outside in a cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area in view of guests . This role involves a very frequent amount of high-volume guest interaction.
