You'll always know exactly what skills, certifications, and accomplishments are required to reach the next level of responsibility and compensation.What You'll Be DesigningAs a Control Room Systems Engineer, you'll design complete audiovisual and visualization solutions for mission-critical environments while serving as the technical leader throughout the project lifecycle.Working alongside our sales, operations, project management, and field engineering teams, you'll develop innovative solutions that balance performance, reliability, usability, and budget.Your responsibilities will include:Designing complete control room and command center solutions from initial concept through final implementationMeeting with clients to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective technical solutionsDeveloping detailed scopes of work and engineering documentationCreating system schematics, signal flow diagrams, equipment layouts, rack elevations, floor plans, cable schedules, and Bills of Materials using industry-standard softwareEngineering video wall systems, operator workstations, KVM systems, visualization platforms, AV distribution, control systems, and network-connected technologiesCollaborating with architects, consultants, IT departments, electrical engineers, general contractors, and owner representatives throughout project developmentProviding technical guidance to the sales team during the solution development processEvaluating emerging technologies and recommending the best solution for each clientSupporting factory testing, onsite commissioning, customer acceptance, and project closeout activitiesMaintaining engineering standards, documentation quality, and design consistency across projectsParticipating in manufacturer training, trade shows, and continuing education to remain current with evolving technologiesEvery project presents a new opportunity to solve complex technical challenges and deliver systems that support critical operations.Technology You'll EngineerOur engineers regularly design solutions utilizing technologies including:Barco CTRLVuWallRGB SpectrumSamsungCrestronQ-SYSBiampCiscoHP | PolyEnterprise networkingKVM systemsLarge-format video wallsFiber optic infrastructureDigital signal processingOperator console systemsIP-based audiovisual platformsWho Thrives HereThe most successful members of our engineering team are people who:Enjoy solving complex technical challengesTake ownership of their projects from concept through completionThrive in collaborative environments while working independentlyCommunicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and coworkersHave a passion for learning new technologiesThink beyond products and focus on delivering complete solutionsHold themselves to exceptionally high engineering and documentation standardsBelieve every design should improve the customer's operational effectivenessIf this sounds like you, you'll fit right in.Qualifications RequiredMinimum three (3) years of experience designing commercial AV systems, control room environments, or other complex audiovisual solutionsHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or related field preferred)Experience developing AV system designs and comprehensive Bills of MaterialsProficiency creating technical documentation using AutoCAD, Visio, D-Tools, Stardraw, or similar engineering softwareStrong understanding of commercial AV system architecture and integration principlesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer-facing presentation and consulting abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyValid driver's licensePreferredCTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, or other AVIXA certificationsExperience designing mission-critical control rooms or command centersExperience with Barco, VuWall, RGB Spectrum, Samsung, Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Cisco, or similar enterprise technologiesKnowledge of enterprise networking fundamentalsExperience supporting system commissioning and customer acceptance testingSchedule: Full-time RemoteTypical hours are Monday through Friday.
