They bridge client requirements by capacity planning, and carrier relationship managementHow you create impactIdentify, vet, and contract with reliable carriers (asset-based and brokerage) to build a robust carrier networkNegotiate spot market and contract rates to maximize profitability and minimize costsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time pickup/delivery, safety compliance (DOT/FMCSA), and service reliabilityBuild long-term partnerships with carriers to secure capacity during market constraintsAct as the escalation point for critical issues, service failuresPartner with Operations and Pricing teams to identify opportunities for strategic capacity and cost savingsSupport Kuehne + Nagel's strategic initiatives pertaining to carrier engagement and operationsWhat we would like you to bringBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business (preferred)3+years of experience in transportation, Truckload brokerage, and managing FTL ShipmentsDeep understanding of Road transport regulations, FTL pricing, and carrier networksExpertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ExcelStrong negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsWhat's in it for youAt Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
