Assembly / Forklift Driver

SUMMARY: Performs a combination of duties including, but not limited to, receiving, shipping, picking, inspecting, and processing orders in an accurate and timely manner; loading and unloading materials efficiently and safely. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process orders for shipments, print shipping labels, and generate shipping documents such as packing slips and invoices. Communicate and collaborate with other departments, inventory control, quality control, assembly, and shipping to provide updates on order status, address inquiries or issues, and ensure timely order fulfillment. Receives, locates, and transfers materials in an accurate and timely manner. Open containers using hand tools as needed; Count and weigh materials and record information. Identify damaged materials and record material shortages. Loading and unloading materials into and from a variety of containers, including but not limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, and/or pallets. Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using appropriate tools/vehicles to perform tasks, including but not limited to forklifts, forklifts, and/or electric forklifts. Assists machine operators as needed by lifting heavy objects by hand or by using an electric hoist. Stack and assemble materials; Securely pack products for transport in accordance with standard operating procedures, ensuring they are properly secured, protected, and labeled in accordance with shipping regulations and customer specifications. Dispatch or close orders in the system once they are ready for shipment, ensuring that all necessary documentation and records are complete and accurate. Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Participates in quality improvement efforts. Performs required administrative tasks; Prepares all required reports and correspondence. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. RATINGS: One to two years of related experience or equivalent. Familiarity with shipping practices, packing techniques, and handling methods. Certified forklift, minimum of one year of experience. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, time-bound environment. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
