Job Summary GitHub & Microsoft Azure DevOps Migration Architect Client: Banking client undergoing enterprise separation and technology environment rebuild Location: 100% Remote (East Coast preferred) Duration: 3-6+ months Schedule: Flexible for occasional UK/India meetings (1 2 times/week outside US hours)Key Responsibilities Stand up new GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps environments from scratch Assess existing repositories, pipelines, permissions, branching strategies, and integrations Design future-state repository structures and migration strategies Execute migrations of repositories, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps projects, pipelines, and configurations Develop migration runbooks, validation plans, and production cutover documentation Coordinate migration activities with DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, and Product teams Validate production readiness and support operational handoffRequirements / Must-Have Experience Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps migrations Proven track record leading repository and CI/CD platform migrations Expertise in GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines Experience with CI/CD migrations and branching strategy design Skills in migration planning and executing production cutovers Ability to create comprehensive migration documentation and runbooksNote This is a hands-on migration architect role (not administration or general DevOps support) Ideal for candidates with direct experience building environments and leading enterprise platform migrations
