General Manager Quality

We are looking for a General Manager - Quality to join the team! This is a full-time, direct hire position that is 100% onsite in a manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN.Responsibilities:Direct the efforts of the quality manager, supporting his role in leading both process quality and customer quality staff.Represent the quality function at the highest level to customers and to the organization's executives.Maintain an understanding of the organization's performance metrics and opportunistically identify application of quality methods to drive improvement.Support the activities of product design and ensure that process design is effectively integrated into the development process.Support the activities of purchasing to ensure supplier quality is improving and is maintained conforming to customer and IATF requirements.Support the activities of technical services, ensuring that their functions meet IATF requirements and provide an improving basis for process control and design.Support the activities of process engineering, fostering effective communication and direction to improvement and change control.Direct the quality system as QMR and oversee the quality audit administration.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in relevant field is required.Lead Assessor Certification -- ISO 9001, IATF 16949 is required.5+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer is required; CQE certification a plus.5+ years' experience as a Quality Manager within automotive manufacturing is required; CQM certification a plus.Practical understanding and utilization of Microsoft Office software.Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing expertise.Five Core Tools expertise.Ability to read, write and explain technical documentation, specifications, procedures and manuals with clarity and precision.Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings, including executive presentations, customer visits, audits, operator training, engineer training, etc.Ability to utilize effective problem-solving techniques and support and direct problem-solving efforts leading to root cause and countermeasures.Utilize statistical methods with understanding and confidence for operational improvement.Drive continual improvement through POCA methodology and effective analysis and follow up.Adoption of a servant leadership model for people development and functioning within the organization.Details:This is a full-time, direct hire position that is 100% onsite in a manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN.Schedule: Days, Monday - FridaySalary: Based on experience + Full BenefitsClient is open to Relocation with Relocation Assistance.This is a W-2 position.
