Team members contribute to innovations that support safer, healthier indoor environments worldwide.Role Description Position SummaryWe are seeking a mechanically inclined, hands-on CNC Setup Technician with the aptitude and desire to learn CNC programming using Striker Systems software. This role will be trained to develop and optimize machine programs while supporting daily production through machine setup, light-to-medium maintenance, and general machinist duties.The ideal candidate has strong fabrication or machining fundamentals and is looking to grow into a programming role within a fast-paced metal shop environment.We are willing to train the right candidate—what matters most is mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and a strong work ethic.Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming (Training Provided)Learn to create and modify CNC programs using Striker Systems software (training provided)Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and CAD files to support program developmentAssist with program adjustments to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and optimize machine performanceProgressively take ownership of programming responsibilities as skills developMachine Setup & OperationPerform machine setups including tooling selection, material setup, and first-piece validationSupport CNC equipment operation (e.g., turret punch, press brake, insertion equipment)Troubleshoot setup and production issues in real timeEnsure jobs are running efficiently and meeting quality standardsMaintenance & Equipment SupportPerform light to medium maintenance, including:Preventative maintenance and routine inspectionsBasic mechanical adjustments and minor repairsTooling upkeep and replacementIdentify and report larger equipment issues requiring escalationSupport coordination with external service technicians as neededGeneral Metal Shop SupportAssist with fabrication processes such as deburring, hardware insertion, and assembly supportOperate equipment such as turret punches (e.g., Strippit), press brakes, and Auto-Sert machines as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupport continuous improvement efforts within the shopQualificationsRequired2+ years of experience in a metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilityAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsHands-on experience with CNC equipment setup and/or operationWillingness and ability to learn CNC programming software (Striker Systems)Basic computer skills and comfort learning new systemsPreferred (Not Required)Experience with CNC programming (any platform)Familiarity with turret punch presses (e.g., Strippit), press brakes, or similar equipmentExperience with hardware insertion equipment (e.g., Auto-Sert)Basic maintenance experience (mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical)Core CompetenciesStrong learning agility and technical curiosityMechanical troubleshooting mindsetAttention to detail and quality focusAbility to work independently and take initiativeReliability and ownership of assigned responsibilitiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in a manufacturing / metal shop environmentGrowth OpportunityThis role is designed as a development path into a CNC Programming position.
