Class B Local Delivery Truck Driver

Job Description We are looking for an experienced truck driver to deliver oils and solvents chemicals to customers. Delivery areas include Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse areas.Education - High School or EquivalentRequirementsValid Class B CDL (Hazmat Endorsement is required)Able to do heavy lifting 35-75 pounds, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting.Fork Truck ExperienceResponsibilitiesPerform Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR), reporting any issues immediately. Keep truck neat and clean.Help load and unload truck at beginning and end of shift.Plan routes and meet delivery schedulesCourteous and professional interaction with customers and vendors.Unload products at customer's location ( this could be a pump off from totes to customer's tanks, drums, pails, or cases of product).Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsCollect and verify delivery instructions.SkillsProven work experience as a truck driverPossess a clean safety and driving recordReliable/PunctualExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsSafely operate hand & electric pallet jack / fork truckAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)Valid truck driving licensePass pre-employment drug screeningGood organization / Communication skillsBasic Computer/Math skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: To be determined upon skillsBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOvertimeLicense/Certification:Driver's License (Required)CDL B (Required) (Hazmat a plus)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)
