Job SummaryWorks under the supervision of higher-level Systems Analysts. Supportsthe planning, organization, and coordination ofapplication support activitiesfor software applications. Supports the coordination of interactions betweenthe users ofcomputer applications, the Information Systems Department andrelated vendor support personnel. Assists other in theimplementation ofapplications and ongoing system enhancements. Consults with and assists usersin making the mosteffective use of computer applications through training,file maintenance, testing, system monitoring, and problemresolution.General RequirementsAdheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelinesPerforms all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organizationPerforms other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and proceduresMaintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.WORKING CONDITIONSGeneral environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.May be scheduled as needed including overtimeOSHA CATEGORYOSHA Category III - Employees will have no occupational exposures to hazards.Education Requirements2 year - Associate Degree in any field preferably in Computer science or information systems technology (Required)4 year - Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)Experience Requirements1 - 2 years Proficiency in the use and understanding of two or more applications currently used in healthcare settings.(Preferred)1 - 2 years Experience in implementing and/or upgrading an application in a healthcare setting.
