Process Engineer
Responsibilities JOB DESCRIPTION Monitor and improve machine process, develop work instructions, and train employeesProvide training to process technicians, machine attendants and supervisors on new or modified processesProvide technical assistance to process technicians and machine attendantsAssist in determining root cause and provide corrective action with customer product complaints Develop appropriate manufacturing process documentation (work instructions, process setup instructions, and maintenance requirements) for integration into the company’s quality system Validate implemented manufacturing process improvements to ensure desired results and sustainabilityInvestigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical manner Participate in projects that support in reducing downtime and scrapCommunicating closely with management team members regarding all aspects of quality controlTrack inventories and order supplies as they are neededInvestigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical mannerManaging new mold sampling including all documentation. Validating process development efforts and interaction with part quality. Feedback to corporate engineering for follow up as necessaryAdhering to quality system requirements and a focus on continuous improvementDrive ToolingU - SME training at the plant levelShift flexibility, able to come in early, stay late or show up on the weekends as production issues are encounteredAbility to work independently and on a teamAssume additional responsibilities as assigned by plant managerRequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (preferably manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering related)Minimum of 2 years' work experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Quality Assurance functions preferably within Injection Molding Plastics Manufacturing Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturingDesired attainment of nationally recognized certification in manufacturing engineering, such as AME or SMEMust be a self-starter with the ability to work alone, or in a team environment with limited supervisionExcellent computer and data analysis skills. proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), SAP & Data Analysis (such as Minitab) experience a plusAbout UsDo you want to work with people who are dedicated to innovation and making the world a better place?
