About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced BI Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing pre-production versions of Power BI reports and dashboards to identify bugs, ensure that business and technical requirements are met, and sign-off on deliverables for production. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytical products, fostering better user engagement and trust.
The Details:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for Power BI reports and dashboards
Utilizing SQL and other data validation tools to verify data accuracy and integrity within Power BI solutions
Collaborating with Power BI developers and business analysts to communicate defects, missed requirements, and areas for improvement
Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming
Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases
Performing root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for resolution
Documenting test results, tracking defects, and ensuring timely resolution of issues
Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming
Continuously improving testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Testing iteratively after iterative development efforts to respond to user feedback throughout development cycle

Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and manipulation
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance testing, with a focus on business intelligence and data visualization
Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI
Pay Range: Between $90,000-$105,000 annually. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience, and geographical location.
