A growing organization in the aerospace and defense industry is seeking a motivated Supplier Development Engineer to support supplier performance, quality, and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-to-mid career engineer who is eager to develop expertise in supplier management, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.The position involves working closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, improve processes, and ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on role with strong opportunities for professional growth and technical development.ResponsibilitiesSupport supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met>Assist in resolving supplier technical and manufacturing issues>Identify and help qualify new suppliers for hard-to-source components>Analyze supplier processes and support continuous improvement initiatives>Participate in PFMEA, risk assessments, and corrective action efforts>Assist with supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality standards>Review incoming materials to verify quality and specifications>Maintain documentation for supplier performance, audits, and process changes>Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and improve outcomes>QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field>1-5+ years of experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, or engineering (aerospace, defense, or automotive industries preferred)>Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies>Familiarity with tools such as PFMEA, process flow diagrams, and root cause analysis is a plus>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills>Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external suppliers>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel>Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a technical environment>$75,000 - $110,000 a year
