Demand Planner

As our Demand Planner, you’ll be responsible for translating data, market insights, and commercial activity into accurate demand forecasts that directly influence inventory decisions and business performance.This role sits at the centre of our Supply Chain function, playing a critical part in ensuring we have the right products, in the right place, at the right time.You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate demand forecasts that directly drive business performance while working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Procurement to translate data, market trends and commercial activity into clear, actionable demand plans.If you enjoy connecting the dots between data and real-world outcomes while influencing how a business plans, stocks, and grows, this role offers genuine impact.What you’ll do:Develop and manage demand forecasts across retail and commercial product linesUse historical data, seasonal trends and business insights to predict demand and identify variancesPartner with Sales & Marketing to incorporate promotions, campaigns and new product launches into forecastsMonitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activityWork closely with Procurement to mitigate stock shortages and excess inventoryEnsure visibility of promotions, store expansions and product launches across supply teamsSupport inventory optimisation and turnover aligned to forecast demandTrack forecast accuracy, bias and key demand metricsBuild reports and dashboards to communicate trends and risks (Power BI experience highly regarded)Contribute to the S&OP process by presenting forecasts and highlighting risks/opportunitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field or 3 plus years of equivalent work experienceStrong experience working with data and reporting tools (Excel essential, Power BI preferred)Exposure to ERP systems such as D365 is advantageousExperience within retail or home improvement environments is a bonusStrong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insightDetail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused approachConfident communicator who can work effectively across teamsBenefits & Culture:GALE Safe - Focused safety culture and practicesCompetitive remunerationSupportive leadership and connected team environmentOpportunities for professional learning and developmentFlexible working supportedAccess to comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Wellbeing supportStaff product discountsAbout GALE Pacific:GALE Pacific is a public company (ASX: GAP) and employs over 600 people around the globe, operating in Australia, China, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
