Sales Engineer

Title: Sales EngineerLocation: Northbrook, ILHire Type: Direct HireCompensation: $90-100K + BonusOverview:We are seeking a Sales Applications Engineer to drive new business development and support the sale of custom automation solutions within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. This role combines technical sales, customer relationship management, and application engineering to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and support projects from concept through execution.Job Duties: Develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing customersIdentify and qualify automation projects based on technical fit, scope, and budgetUnderstand customer requirements and recommend appropriate automation solutionsPrepare sales proposals, project budgets, and customer presentationsInterpret User Requirement Specifications (URS) and develop sequences of operationPresent technical solutions to customers and support the sales processAssist project teams after project award, including managing scope changes and customer communicationsSupport financial discussions related to project changes and enhancementsQualifications: Experience selling automation equipment, custom machinery, or engineered systemsPharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences industry experience preferredStrong understanding of manufacturing and assembly automation processesExperience developing technical proposals, budgets, and presentationsAbility to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutionsStrong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
